Floats
The event this year takes its inspiration from an all-new Treasure of the Deep theme. Each evening, a Mardi Gras parade will make its way through the streets of Universal Studios Florida. There’ll be intricately detailed floats, vivacious dancers, and stilt performers with extraordinary customes and countless beads.
Guests will be treated to six new floats this year, inspired by the creatures of the deep, the sunken city of Atlantis, and much more. The floats are also hand-crafted by Kern Studios - the iconic company which has been creating floats for the original parade in New Orleans since 1947.
Fan-favourites Riverboat and King Gator will also be returning, featuring new decor that celebrates 25 years of the party.
Attending with kids? Don’t worry - the Little Jester’s Parade Viewing Area has been created just for children to be able to view the event, located in front of the Brown Derby Hat Shop. Get an unobstructed view of the celebrations.
Food & Drink
The French Quarter Courtyard will be home to authentic Cajun-inspired cuisine during Universal Orlando’s Mardi Gras event, open each day from 4pm. New for this year is also the Carnival Around the Universe tasting tent, showcasing dishes inspired by carnivals worldwide with brand new menu items debuting bi-weekly throughout.
The Bayou Boil is returning this year, giving diners that authentic New Orleans crawfish boil experience. Purchase The Mardi Gras Tasting Lanyard and get the chance to try a variety of classic New Orleans-inspired dishes throughout your visit. Dine on gumbo, jambalaya, po boys, and much more!
