Walt Disney Imagineering have given us our first look inside the newest ride coming to Walt Disney World Resort in Florida this year. The much-anticipated Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind will be opening in EPCOT in the summer, bringing the popular Marvel franchise to the park for the first time.
From the concepts and video footage, we can see what the loading station will look like, making use of the futuristic yet industrial style we have seen already in Guardians of the Galaxy - Mission: Breakout at Disneyland Resort in California.
We’ve also been given a glimpse at the incredible ride vehicles, known as Starjumpers. These are the first of their kind at a Disney Park, as they can spin 360-degrees as the coaster moves along the track, making sure you don’t miss even a second of the action! Take a look at the clip below to see for yourself:
Here’s what we know about the ride so far:
Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind will feature all of your favourite Heroes from the films, including Star-Lord, Drax and Rocket Raccoon, as you are called on to help them save the galaxy. This intergalactic chase will not only be one of the longest enclosed roller coasters in the world, but it will also be Disney’s first reverse-launch, offering a thrill like no other!
This is truly a ride you won’t want to miss, and combined with the current 50th Anniversary celebrations, there has never been a better time to visit Walt Disney World Resort in Florida.
