Our guide to Classic Kuranda

A Tropic Wings coach will provide convenient pickup, ensuring a smooth transition to Freshwater Railway Station, the starting point for your memorable journey. Begin your full-day Classic Kuranda Tour by embarking on the Kuranda Scenic Railway at 8:45am. The train meanders through 15 meticulously carved tunnels and past breathtaking waterfalls on its way to the charming village of Kuranda.

Upon arrival in Kuranda, take your time to explore the picturesque Kuranda Village or, if you wish, consider a visit to the Australian Butterfly Sanctuary (additional cost applies). As you wrap up your visit, please gather at the bus stop just outside the Australian Butterfly Sanctuary for your transfer to the enchanting Rainforestation Nature Park.

Here, you'll savour a delectable BBQ lunch featuring a hot buffet along with a diverse array of salads, cheeses, and fruits. Your adventure continues with an Army Duck Rainforest Tour, which offers an immersive experience of the rainforest as you traverse both land and water. Your knowledgeable guide will enlighten you about various flora and fauna species.

Immerse yourself in the rich culture of the Pamagirri Aboriginal Experience as you watch the Pamagirri Dancers perform in a natural rainforest amphitheater. Following this, partake in the Dreamtime Walk, where you'll learn the art of boomerang throwing and witness the skilled demonstrations of spear-throwing and didgeridoo playing.

The Koala and Wildlife Park beckon next. Join a guided tour, and encounter fascinating creatures like crocodiles, wombats, snakes, dingoes, and even a cassowary. Get up close and personal with kangaroos and wallabies as you feed them, and should you desire, seize the opportunity to capture a memorable photo while cuddling a koala or holding a small crocodile (additional cost applies).

At 3:45pm, prepare for an exceptional experience as you transfer to the Skyrail Rainforest Cableway. Glide serenely above the lush rainforest canopy on your journey to the Smithfield Terminal, making stops at Red Peak Station and Barron Falls Station, where you can take in the stunning vistas.

Your captivating tour concludes at approximately 5:30pm, at which point drop-offs will commence, marking the end of your unforgettable day of exploration and adventure.
