Disney's Hollywood Studios announced yesterday that one of the park's original attractions, Magic of Disney Animation would be closing it's doors on the 12th July this year to make way for new park expansions which have yet to be revealed.
When the attraction opened, it gave guests an insight into the creation process behind every one of Disney's much-loved animations. Guests could even peer down into the animation room, where real Dinsey animators were working to prepare the next Disney spectacular. Guided by the voice of Robin Williams, who voiced the image of one of Peter Pan's Lost Boys, visitors were also shown a montage of classic Disney moments.
A firm favourite part of the tour for guests was the chance to meet their favourite characters once they exit the showroom, with character meet and greets and also the chance to draw their favourite Disney characters.
Though the attraction will be sadly missed, the closure makes way for an exciting new expansion of the park which many people are already speculating will include a more permanent Star Wars attraction, due to the parks already strong affiliation to the Star Wars Franchise, with its Star Tours attraction and the Star Wars weekends taking place every year. Whatever it is, we're sure Disney will add a touch of Hollywood glamour - even if it is to Darth Vador!
