A decade ago, Busch Gardens was owned by beer company Anheuser-Busch, a brewing company based in St. Louis, Missouri USA and headquartered in Leuven, Belgium. Beer therefore plays a huge role in Busch Gardens’ history, which is why this new event is called #BEERISBACK. Free beer samples were offered in their Hospitality Centers during this time, but this tradition ended when the park was sold to new owners.
So we were thrilled to hear that Busch Gardens will be re-igniting this tradition this summer! The new beer season started on the 1st May this year and continues until August 5th and is available for all park guests aged 21 and over to enjoy. To take advantage of this offer, head to the Garden Gate Café, where each guest aged 21 and over is entitled to 2 free 7-ounce (200ml) beers. The featured beer changes fortnightly, with brands such as Corona, Bud Light, Founders All Day IPA and Shock Top among some of the names you may recognise.
And, if you’re visiting in late August or early September, the season is taken to new levels by the start of the Bier Fest event on August 25th. More than 200 years of Oktoberfest history will descend on the park, bringing along more than 100 brews from local and global breweries plus traditional German food and festive music. Access to this event is included free with general park admission although, of course, beers are extra!
If you want to take advantage of this event, make sure you bring ID with you whatever your age. They are extremely strict on checking ID in the states so don’t assume you won’t be ID’d!
Tickets for Busch Gardens, SeaWorld and Aquatica (all 3!) start from just £89. Click here to buy tickets.
