Venture to the World’s first Jumanji-themed land and brave the World’s ONLY Jumanji rollercoaster, Mandrill Mayhem, dodge the fangs of the black mamba on Mamba Strike and swerve a herd of stampeding ostriches with Ostrich Stampede.
Float down the lazy river on The Gruffalo River Ride Adventure, as the deep dark wood magically unfolds in front of your eyes and join everyone’s favourite patchwork elephant, Elmer, as he and his friends take flight on Elmer’s Flying Jumbos then feel your heart pound as you stare wide-eyed encountering Chessington’s resident animals.
11 themed lands including Rainforest, Forbidden Kingdom, Mexicana, Shipwreck Coast, Wild Woods, Chessington Zoo, Jumanji, Land of the Tiger, Land of the Dragons, Wild Asia, and Adventure Point.

World of Jumanji
Follow in the footsteps of Dr Bravestone, through a whole world of adventures to locate the Jaguar’s Eye Jewel, lift the curse, and save Jumanji! Brave adventurers will discover THREE new theme park rides:
- Mandrill Mayhem, the world’s ONLY Jumanji rollercoaster operating a virtual queue system.
- Ostrich Stampede, where you can swerve a herd of stampeding ostriches on a whirlwind adventure.
- Mamba Strike, where you'll need to dodge the fangs of the black mamba on a dizzying, untameable ride.

- Are you ready to plunge 25m into Chessington’s latest jaw-dropping ride? It’s time to brave the giant jaws of Croc Drop and help release Sobek the cursed crocodile.
- Help Witch and her Cat find her lost belongings in Room on the Broom - A Magical Journey. Visit the enchanted library and walk through the pages of the author, Julia Donaldson, and illustrator, Axel Scheffler’s, family favourite book as the stormy wind blows, sending the witch’s hat, bow and wand tumbling to the ground. Watch out though for a fearsome foe, Dragon, who fancies ‘Witch and chips’ for his tea!
- Meet a creature with ‘terrible tusks’ and ‘terrible claws’… the Gruffalo! Float down the lazy river on The Gruffalo River Ride Adventure, journeying through the deep dark wood as the much-loved story of The Gruffalo magically unfolds in front of your eyes with exciting twists and turns along the way.
- Join everyone’s favourite patchwork elephant, Elmer, as he and his friends take flight on Elmer’s Flying Jumbos.
- From Land of the Dragons to Wild Asia you’ll find big adventures for little rangers at Chessington! You’ll even journey to the Rainforest, with three rides perfect for families with kids in search of their first wild adventure. Explore the rainforests of the world by road, river, and from the treetop canopy.
- Meet a family of four endangered Amur tigers, Tsar, Kyra, Olga, and Kalinka in Land of the Tiger, and stare wide-eyed as this majestic animal roams above you in Europe’s first overhead trails.

Walk through the enchanted forest, meet the helpful elves, have access to selected rides and attractions, visit festive animals or watch a panto! Before Christmas Day, you can even visit Father Christmas' Grotto and Toy Workshop and meet the man himself!
Location
Chessington World of Adventures Resort is located close to Leatherhead in Surrey on the A243, just two miles from the A3 and M25 (junction 9 or 10), and is well signposted from both roads.
Season and Opening Hours
Chessington World of Adventures Resort opens for the 2024 season on 22 March and will be open until 3 November 2024. Chessington World of Adventures opens at 10.00 am with closing times varying through the year.

Mandrill Mayhem
Minimum Height Required: 1.20m (Children under 1.2m-1.3m must be accompanied by an adult)
Ride around the iconic sites of Jumanji, brave Chessington's first inversion, and all while dodging the hazards of the jungle.
New for Chessington, Mandrill Mayhem is the first ride at Chessington with a virtual queue, giving you time to enjoy everything else the Resort has to offer while you wait to ride. Using a smartphone you MUST book a slot for FREE to ride Mandrill Mayhem on the day of visit. When the time to ride approaches, you will be notified and will be invited to enter the queue line for Mandrill Mayhem within a set time frame.
Mamba Strike
Minimum Height Required: Adventurers must be a minimum of 1.2m to ride.
Dodge the fangs of the black mamba on a dizzying, untameable ride. There’s not a moment to lose… Adventurers must jump on and hold tight – the black mamba is about to strike! Those between 1.2m and 1.3m must be accompanied by an adult over the age of 16, while those a minimum height of 1.3m can ‘drop’ alone.
Croc Drop
Minimum Height Required: 1.20m (Children under 1.2m-1.3m must be accompanied by an adult)
With the once fertile Nile laying stagnant, riders must take part in a ceremony to banish the evil spirits from Sobek, the ancient Egyptian Crocodile God and protector of the Nile. Those daring will plunge 25m through Sobek's giant jaws into the crocodile's soul freeing the waters back into the Nile.
Vampire
Minimum Height Required: 1.10 m (maximum height 1.96 m)
Just like a bat out of hell, this family-friendly roller coaster gets you soaring through the skies and flying over the treetops with your legs dangling below you. It’s fang-tastic and once bitten, you’ll want to fly again and again. Please note: a chest size limit of 51 inches applies on this attraction. Children shorter than 1.30m must be accompanied by an adult.
Dragon's Fury
Minimum Height Required: 1.20 m (maximum height 1.96 m)
Kobra
Minimum Height Required: 1.20 m
Tiger Rock
Minimum Height Required: Children between 1.2. - 1.3m must be accompanied by an adult 16+
Tiger Rock, an exhilarating log flume in Land of the Tiger. Get a unique view of our majestic Amur Tigers, before descending a misty waterfall drop, right through the centre of a giant tiger's head carved into the imposing rock.
Rattlesnack
Minimum Height Required: 1.40 m (maximum height 1.96 m)
The Gruffalo River Ride Adventure
Minimum Height Required: Children under 1.10 m must be accompanied by an adult.
Join Mouse on a magical riverboat journey through the deep dark wood. As you float down the lazy river, the world of The Gruffalo will magically unfold in front of your eyes, with exciting twists and turns along the way!
Zufari - Ride into Africa
Minimum Height Required: 1.00 m
ZUFARI – Ride into Africa! is a theme park adventure and safari combined. Come face to face with wonderful African animals such as White Rhino, Giraffe and Grevy’s Zebra as you embark on a thrilling off-road truck journey... but watch out for unexpected dangers. Please note: Children shorter than 1.30m must be accompanied by an adult. A chest size limit of 51 inches applies on this attraction.

Elmer’s flying Jumbos
Minimum Height Required: Children under 1.1m must be accompanied by an adult 16+
Everyone's favourite patchwork elephant, Elmer, created by David McKee and published by Andersen Press flies in on the first ever themed ride in the spring. Fans of the Children's picture-book character will be able to pick a colourful elephant to take them to the skies on the flying carousel.
Jungle Rangers
Minimum Height Required: 1.2 m
Featuring three rides, explore the rainforests of the world by road on Jungle Rangers, by water on River Rafts and from the treetop canopy on Treetop Hoppers. Little explorers take the wheel on Jungle Rangers, a car ride where they navigate their vehicle along the trail, spotting creatures including tortoises and capybaras, the world’s largest rodent, along the way. Then, make a splash on mini-log flume, River Rafts – watch out though for the cheeky chimps that live along the waterway! Lastly climb above the treetop canopy, bouncing up high on Treetop Hoppers, but be careful, what goes up…
