They began settling in tents along the Colorado River soon after the site was chosen.

Your local, certified guide will share tales of this Prohibition-era city, where the workers' ramshackle buildings became collectively known as "Ragtown." Hear accounts of early mining in the area and learn about the engineering wonders of Hoover Dam, built at a time when construction techniques were not nearly as advanced as today.
