An unforgettable experience that will be a topic of conversation for years to come

Your experience of the Tropical North remains incomplete until you've gained some insight into its Indigenous culture and heritage. Enjoy a spiritual and mystical rainforest dining adventure as you join the Flames of the Forest Aboriginal Cultural Experience with two Kuku Yalanji brothers.

Our guide to Flames of the Forest Aboriginal Cultural Experience

A Flames of the Forest vehicle will pick you up from your hotel to commence an evening Aboriginal Cultural Experience. Just ten minutes from Port Douglas, Flames of the Forest is a world away from the everyday.

Emerging from the heart of the Daintree Rainforest, the Kuku Yalanji people have thrived in symbiosis with their rainforest and reef surroundings for more than 50,000 years. At the core of the Kuku Yalanji people's belief system, known as "rainforest 'bama," lies a deep reverence for nature and an intricate understanding of the natural rhythms woven by Mother Nature.

Showcasing a unique, tropics-inspired menu accompanied by a selection of quality beverages and set amidst the candle-lit rainforest under a black silk canopy with sparkling chandeliers, Flames of the Forest offers you a distinctly different dining experience entwined with Indigenous culture.

The Aboriginal Cultural Experience introduces two local Aboriginal brothers sharing their remarkable culture with you throughout the evening. Their performance, unique to Flames of the Forest and staged within the natural, authentic backdrop of this spiritual culture, features traditional storytelling, didgeridoo and incredible song.

Join fellow adventurous travelers at a communal table where you'll savor a Tropicfeast, a culinary journey inspired by the region's bountiful land and locally sourced ingredients. Sample Menu (subject to change without notice)
