Since 24th July 2024, Disney Genie+ at Disneyland Resort in California is now Lightning Lane. But while the name has changed, the service remains the same, helping you to have the best holiday possible! Whether you’re visiting for one day or five, here’s everything you need to know about Lightning Lane passes.

Available to purchase on the day 

Both Disneyland Park and Disney California Adventure Park each have one attraction available with a Lightning Lane Single Pass. These are some of the most in demand attractions in each park that tend to have the biggest standby queues. 

If your Disneyland Resort tickets include Park Hopper benefits, you can purchase up to two Lightning Lane Single Passes per day, per guest (once per attraction). If your admission is only valid for one park per day, you will only be able to purchase a Lightning Lane Single Pass in the park you have a reservation for that day. 

Lightning Lane Single Passes can be purchased for the next available arrival window using the Disneyland Resort app (subject to availability), with prices varying depending on demand and seasonality.

If you want to take your days at Disneyland Resort in California to the next level, upgrade your tickets at the time of booking to include Lightning Lane Multi Pass, or purchase it on the day of your visit - it’s the very best way to get the absolute most out of your visit so you can spend more time enjoying the magic with your family and friends!

After park entry on the day of your visit, use your Lightning Lane Multi Pass to make one attraction selection at a time on the Disneyland app. Once you’ve redeemed your initial selection (or the arrival window has passed), you can then make your next selection, all day long - with each arrival window secured, you can enjoy the magic elsewhere in the park and spend less time waiting in line!

• Lightning Lane Entrances at attractions suitable for everyone - Choose the next available time for classics like "it's a small world", thrill rides including Incredicoaster and newer favourites like Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run. 
• Unlimited Disney PhotoPass Digital Downloads - Download and share digital photos from select dining locations, attractions, iconic settings and more.
• Audio Tales - Discover the parks in cool new ways through fascinating fun facts, insider tips and behind-the-scenes insights during your visit.

The complimentary Disney Genie Service is still included with every Disneyland Resort ticket, offering you a personalised itinerary based on your own attraction and dining interests. Built right into the Disneyland app, it will help you optimise your visit with wait times, a customised tip board, mobile food orders and more!
