Dubai is a modern-day marvel, where futuristic architecture meets golden desert landscapes and glittering coastlines. If you’re looking to take in the sheer scale and beauty of this city, then you’re in luck! Dubai is packed with viewpoints, luxury hotels, water parks and amusement parks as well as innovative structures that offer unbeatable views.
1. Ain Dubai

A giant among giants, did you know Ain Dubai is the world’s tallest observation wheel? Soaring 250 meters above Bluewaters Island, Ain Dubai offers unbeatable 360-degree views across the city skyline. From the top, you’ll be able to spot iconic landmarks such as Dubai Marina, the Palm Jumeirah, and the glittering coastline of the Arabian Gulf.
Each rotation takes approximately 38 minutes to complete, giving you plenty of time to soak up the full Dubai skyline in the fully air-conditioned cabin and snap a few spectacular shots, which will definitely feature in your family group chat later on. For an extra-special experience, book a private cabin or sunset ride.
Top Tip: Get a combo ticket for Dubai Parks & Resorts and Ain Dubai to enjoy access to the city's top theme parks and the iconic observation wheel.
2. Burj Al Arab

Often dubbed as ‘the world’s only 7-star hotel’, the Burj Al Arab is as iconic as it is exclusive. From the exterior, many may refer to this as the ‘sail hotel’ or ‘ship sail’ due to its unique shape which many visitors in the city admire. Built on its own manmade island, this hotel has become a staple of the Dubai city skyline.
Despite many admiring from afar, few realise that you can actually visit the inside of this building even if you are not a guest (granted you do have restricted access). The views from within are just as impressive as the building itself, as you enjoy panoramic views of the Arabian Gulf from one of the hotel’s sky-high restaurants like Al Muntaha, or indulge in the afternoon tea experience at the Skyview Bar.
Top Tip: Book a dining reservation to access the hotel without being an overnight guest; it’s a great way to enjoy the view and some luxury hospitality.
3. Burj Khalifa

No trip to Dubai is complete without visiting the world’s tallest building. The Burj Khalifa stands at a staggering 828 meters tall and features in the blockbuster movie Mission Impossible - Ghost Protocol. We cannot guarantee that you’ll see Tom Cruise climbing up the windows, however you will see spectacular views across the city as well as of the Arabian Desert.
The Burj Khalifa features not one but two observation decks. At the Top Observation Deck is situated on the 124th and 125th floors, and the At the Top SKY will be found on the 148th floor. From here, you’ll see the entire city sprawling below you, including the Dubai Fountain, Downtown Dubai, and desert as far as the eye can see.
This is the ultimate spot in Dubai to take in the city’s dazzling skyline at night. Every 30 minutes from 6 PM to 11 PM, the Dubai Fountain comes alive in a mesmerizing, perfectly choreographed show set against the iconic backdrop of the Burj Khalifa. The fountains sway and soar in sync with popular hits, including “Skyfall” and “No Time To Die.”
Top Tip: Buy tickets in advance to skip the regular queues, and go early in the morning or late at night to avoid crowds.
4. The Dubai Frame

The Dubai Frame is one of the most innovative architectural structures in Dubai, offering a unique view of both the city’s past and future. Standing 150 meters high and 93 meters wide, this golden structure quite literally frames Dubai.
The highlight? Definitely the glass-bottomed sky bridge that connects the two towers, allowing you to walk across the frame while gazing at the city beneath your feet (if you’re brave enough).
There’s also a fascinating museum inside of this building, which tells the story of Dubai’s transformation over the years, building its way from a mere fishing village to a futuristic metropolis.
Top Tip: Make sure you don’t wear a skirt or dress to this attraction if you’re planning on walking over the sky bridge!
5. Atlantis The Royal
Luxury meets legend at the dazzling new addition to Dubai’s hotel scene, Atlantis The Royal. Opened in 2023 with a bang, including a jaw-dropping exclusive performance from Beyonce and a spectacular firework display. This ultra-luxurious hotel, located on the Palm Jumeirah, has quickly become one of the city’s hottest spots.
While it's first and foremost a place to stay, dine, and unwind, the views here are second to none, especially from the rooftop infinity pool at Cloud 22, where you can see the entire Palm unfold beneath you and gaze out over the Arabian Gulf.
This is an ideal attraction to visit right before you head into Atlantis Aquaventure Water Park as it is a short walk away (approximately 10 to 15 minutes). If you prefer not to walk, taxis and shuttle services are readily available. Additionally, guests staying at Atlantis The Royal typically receive complimentary access to Aquaventure Waterpark, including priority entry and use of the park's facilities.
Top Tip: We recommend booking a table at one of the hotel’s signature restaurants or try to snag a day pass to the rooftop pool.
6. Sky Views Observatory
If you’re more of a thrill seeker, the Sky Views Observatory is the place to visit, taking viewing platforms to the next level… literally. Located at the top of Address Sky View hotel in Downtown Dubai, this attraction isn’t just about looking, it’s about experiencing!
The observatory sits 219 metres above ground and features many thrilling attractions which are not designed for the faint of heart (nor people with a fear of heights). There is a 46-metre glass walkway, providing 360-degree views of the city below, but if you’re ready to kick your adrenaline up a notch, brave the Edge Walk. This is a hands-free walk along the building’s ledge with no windows or rails… 56 floors up! Don’t worry, you will be strapped into safety harnesses.
Another exciting and unique opportunity offered is the Sky Views Slides. Enter a completely clear slide down floor-to-floor outside of the tower, elevated at a total height of 219.5 meters. We’re quaking in our boots just thinking about it.
Top Tip: Book your Edge Walk ahead of time as this experience sells out quickly!
Dubai is a city that was built to be admired, and there’s no better way to do that than from above. Whether you’re sipping cocktails in the clouds at a sky bar, walking across a glass-bottomed bridge, or standing atop the world’s tallest skyscraper, each of these viewpoints offers an unforgettable experience.
