Universal Studios Hollywood have added a new attraction to its world-famous Studio Tour: a new and exhilarating high speed driving chase based on the hit Fast and Furious franchise! The ride was officially opened by stars Vin Diesel, Michelle Rodriguez and Jason Statham on Tuesday, with a “chain cutting” ceremony in place of the more traditional ribbon cutting.
Vin Diesel said of the ride, “I know when we were making it, it felt like we were creating something that I had never experienced. We employed all kinds of incredible technology…I’m really excited to get in there and feel it out and get that adrenaline pumping.” When Vin Diesel, adrenaline junkie, is excited for the thrill of a new ride, you know it’s got to be good!
The ride allows guests to experience first-hand the high speed car chases and adrenaline fuelled thrills which the film franchise excels at. Using 3D-HD imagery projected on to gigantic 360-degree screens, the attraction is a multi-sensory ride which drops guests into the crazy world of Vin Diesel and his criminal cohort. Riders will find themselves caught up in an exhilarating super speed car chase which reaches an astonishing 120 miles per hour as they are plunged into the seedy underworld of fast cars and international crime cartels!
