The Castles that Inspired Disney's Cinderella Castle Architecture!
Trivia Tuesday: The castles that inspired the construction of the Cinderella Castle
The Cinderella Castle is the single most photographed structure in the entire world. Not only is the fairy tale castle synonymous with and emblematic of the Walt Disney World Resort and the entire Disney corporation, but the Cinderella Castle has become an iconic Orlando structure in its very own right...Admire the castles that inspired the inception of the magical Disney castle...

To say that Disney absolutely adores the noble castle structure is no revelation, at the heart of all six Disney resorts located around the world sits a whimsical castle, either belonging to Cinderella or Sleeping Beauty. The Disney films aren't much different either, with a castle often featured in many of the Walt Disney Classics, two of which have recently gained residency in Walt Disney World's New Fantasyland; Prince Eric's Castle of The Little Mermaid and Beast's Castle of Beauty and the Beast. However, it is the Cinderella Castle, in particular the Cinderella Castle that sits at the heart of the world's most visited theme park, Magic Kingdom in Walt Disney World Florida that has arguably become one of the world's most iconic landmarks - if not, an architectural masterpiece that has been awarded as one of the Top 100 Buildings in Florida by Florida's American Institute of Architecture.  So admired is the Disney castle, that not only has it succeeded the popularity of the five castles that inspired it's architectural structure, but has become the most photographed structure in the world!

The Cinderella Castle has been inspired by the Alcazar of Segovia, Castle Neuschwanstein Bavaria, Fontainbleau Versailles and the Moszna Castle in Poland. Take a look at these beautiful Eurpean castles below and see if you can recognise the features that have inspired the Herbert Ryman, designer of the Cinderella Castle, to create the Disney masterpiece!
