We’re into the second day of our week of nostalgia, where we take a look back at many of the great movies, characters and moments from Disney’s movie back catalogue.
Limited Time Magic: Meet Robin Hood &Co!
Re-live some golden memories at Disney World’s Magic Kingdom this week!
Take a nostalgic look back at Disney’s Robin Hood and look forward to meeting the characters at Disney World’s Magic Kingdom this week (21st – 27th January)!
Our reminiscent vibe has been inspired by Disney’s latest Limited Time Magic experience, which gives Magic Kingdom guests the chance to become acquainted with many of the lost and loved Disney characters that are no longer featured at the parks for one week only.
Today we’re taking a look at the Walt Disney Production Robin Hood, the 21st animated film to be released as part of the Walt Disney Animated Classic series, which boasts 54 titles. The Disney Classic Series began with Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs in 1937 and consists of films like Pinocchio, Bambi and One Hundred and One Dalmatians.
Although Robin Hood may have been released slightly before some of you were even born, on the 8th November 1973, it is highly likely that you will be familiar with the story of Robin Hood and recognise the characters featured in the black and white photo above; it’s Robin Hood characters Little John, Prince John, Robin Hood and Friar Tuck hanging out at Disney World’s Magic Kingdom in 1973! The dutiful robbin’ fox and his sidekick Little John take it upon themselves to rob the rich to give to the poor, whilst Prince John and Sir Hiss go about robbing the poor to give to the rich – namely themselves.
It may very well be that this thieving gang haven’t hung out at the Disney parks since the seventies, so this Limited Time Magic gives you the one off chance to get reacquainted with familiar faces - or make some new friends with established Disney characters – depending how old you are – at Disney World’s Magic Kingdom till the 27th January.
There’s plenty more Limited Time Magic in store at the Disney parks this year - so if you’ve already booked your Orlando holiday, it’s literally a matter of selecting the Disney ticket of your choice and checking our Latest News Page to see what Limited Time Magic experience is happening at Disney World when you’re travelling!
