Planning a trip to Walt Disney World Resort for 2025? Here’s why you should consider booking for the Easter holidays.

There are always plenty of Easter treats and activities at Walt Disney World Resort in Florida to put a little spring in your step, and 2025 is going to be just as egg-cellent!

Spring at Walt Disney World Resort begins early March and runs through to June, blossoming alongside the annual EPCOT International Flower & Garden Festival. From an Eggstravaganza Easter Egg Hunt, to meeting Mr. and Mrs. Easter Bunny at Magic Kingdom Park, here are many unique ways to experience a magical spring in full bloom:

1. Discover the EPCOT International Flower & Garden Festival

All of the Walt Disney World Resort Theme Parks are in full bloom during the spring season, but EPCOT in particular comes to life with colour, scent, and flavour thanks to the International Flower & Garden Festival. The gardening, culinary, and entertainment teams at Disney all work tirelessly to showcase incredible Disney Character topiaries, fresh food dishes, and whimsical installations, including an interactive butterfly garden.

The dates for the 2025 EPCOT International Flower & Garden Festival are yet to be announced, but we’ll keep you updated as soon as we know more!

2. Watch the Special Easter Cavalcade at Magic Kingdom Park

Every year, just for the Easter weekend, a special pre-parade cavalcade takes place at Magic Kingdom Park. Dancing all the way from Frontierland down Main Street U.S.A., the cavalcade begins before Disney’s Festival of Fantasy Parade. This is a limited-time opportunity to see springtime friends such as Mr. and Mrs. Easter Bunny, dancers in Main Street pastels, Clara Cluck, and the White Rabbit.

Magic Kingdom Park can easily hit crowd capacity on Easter weekend, so make sure you get to the park nice and early to be part of the celebrations.

3. Meet Mr and Mrs. Easter Bunny

As well as seeing Mr. and Mrs. Easter Bunny in the pre-parade, you can meet them too! During the week running up to Easter weekend, the delightful pair can usually be found meeting guests near City Hall at Magic Kingdom Park. Visit them during the week for a shorter wait time, as it can get busy during Easter weekend. Snap some pictures and create new memories with these rare Characters!

2. Gaze at the Disney Resort hotel Easter Egg Displays

Hop over to Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa, Disney’s Contemporary Resort, Disney’s Yacht Club Resort, and Disney’s Beach Club Resort for fun-filled Easter egg displays. Featuring many loved Characters and Disney references, the Easter Eggs are hand-crafted by Disney’s dedicated culinary team. Each egg is hand-painted and carefully created months before Easter begins, and they are truly the most sensational chocolate eggs you’ll ever lay your eyes on.

The 2024 displays included eggs representing Pixar Animation Studios’ Luca, Disney Animation’s Beauty and the Beast, and even Mickey & Minnie's Runaway Railway

5. Explore the EPCOT Eggstravaganza Easter Egg Hunt

As you explore everyone’s favourite community of tomorrow, you can take part in the EPCOT Eggstravaganza Easter Egg Hunt. Throughout the World Showcase, Disney Characters are moulded into colourful Easter Eggs and hidden around the pavilions. As you spot the Characters, you can fill up an egg hunt map with matching stickers to fill the page. As soon as your map is complete and you’ve found all of the eggs, you can collect an Eggstravaganza prize at the same place you purchased your map!

For $9.99 (plus tax), you can pick up an egg hunt map and corresponding stickers at World Traveler (at International Gateway) and Disney Traders (in World Showcase Plaza).

6. See The Grand Cottage at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa

The Grand Cottage at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa is one of our favourite places to get a sweet treat at Easter-time, and we’re hoping it will be back in 2025 for its fourth year running. Bringing you Easter-inspired treats and chocolate for all the family, the Grand Cottage can be found in the lobby of this timeless resort, which is just a monorail ride away from Magic Kingdom Park.

Some of the most popular items from 2024 included a Bunny Pop Flower Pot, a Fruity Cereal Mickey Pop, Easter Marshmallow Pop, Bunny Burrow Dirt Cup (plant-based), and more. These treats featured a range of delicious chocolate, fruity cereal, jelly beans, marshmallow, and enough candy to make anyone a happy bunny. We can’t wait to see if this will be returning next year, and what will be on the menu if it does!

7. Unwrap Easter Merchandise

Across Walt Disney World Resort property, there are plenty of shopping opportunities all year round. However, during Spring, you can get the cutest Easter merchandise to complete your trip. The annual Disney Easter Bunny Plushies usually fly off the shelves, as Mickey Mouse and Minnie Mouse always look so charming in their fuzzy outfits!

8. Savour Fabulous Food

If you haven’t got a sweet tooth, don’t worry! On the menu at numerous Disney quick-service locations and table-service restaurants are fantastic food options to choose from that are specifically for spring, including plenty of fresh savoury dishes. You can see a list here of last year’s phenomenal plates to get your taste buds excited for what’s to come.
