Visiting Disneyland Paris on Christmas Day is a dream come true for many. However, if you can't make it on the day itself there's no need to worry as you can enjoy the magic of Christmas Disneyland Paris for more than a month every year! A trip at this special time of year has plenty of amazing extras but here are just 10 of our favourites...
1. Disney’s Christmas Parade
One of the highlights of any trip to Disneyland Paris is taking a moment (or 20!) to watch the wonderful parades. Christmas in Disneyland Paris is no exception, and you’ll want to make space in your schedule to catch this very special festive parade. Watch as a joyful Mickey, Minnie, Donald, Goofy, Woody and even Buzz Lightyear take their places on their festive floats and make their way down Main Street, U.S.A in all their Christmas finery! Each float is intricately designed and dripping with Christmas decorations so it’s sure to be a festive spectacle to behold.
2. Festive decorations and Fireworks
You’ll feel like you walked smack bang into a Christmas winter wonderland as soon as you enter Disneyland Paris Christmas. A giant Christmas tree dominates the festive celebrations but you’ll also be filled with Christmas cheer by the sight of your favourite Characters in their holiday best. Make sure you check out the times for any Character meet and greets so you can get a photo with your favourites in their Christmas outfits. The day winds down with a festive version of the Disney Dreams firework display which is sure to take your breath away. 3. The chance to meet Santa
As well as the chance to meet your favourite Disney characters, until the 25th of December there is also the opportunity to meet Santa Claus himself! As well as Santa, there’s a few other more unusual family-friendly faces like Scrooge McDuck, Thumper and Miss Bunny for unique photo opportunities.
4. Mickey’s Magical Christmas Lights
Both Parks are transformed during the festive period with beautiful twinkling Christmas lights. However, it’s in Town Square where you’ll find the most glittering display of all! A huge tree is lit up with an enchanting light display, surrounded by Mickey and pals carolling and bringing Christmas cheer to all who visit.
5. Sing Me a Merry Christmas stage show
Several times a day at the Walt Disney Studios Park, Mickey and friends will be taking to the stage to entertain guests with their Sing Me a Merry Christmas show. The show features all your favourite Christmas songs, as well as the chance to sing along with all your favourite Characters!
6. Mickey’s Christmas Big Band
Make your way over to the Videopolis theatre in the Disneyland Park for this fantastic live event featuring a chorus of fantastic singers, a huge jazz band and Mickey and Minnie themselves. Don’t forget to join in with them on the back-to-back Christmas classics!
7. Goofy’s Incredible Christmas show
Over at the Walt Disney Studios Park, you’ll also find Goofy’s Incredible Christmas show. This show takes place after dark and will feature a night-time extravaganza of special effects, festive lighting and live Characters as the Hollywood Tower Hotel is illuminated with a brand new festive tale.
8. Frozen Sing-a-long
The royal sisters from Arendelle, Princesses Anna and Elsa, lead guests in a festive sing-along to the film’s famous tunes. Make sure you warm up your vocal chords after coming in from the chill in the air outside so you can really commit to those high notes in Let it Go! Of course, it wouldn’t be a Frozen show without the adorable Olaf, which is why a larger-than-life Olaf will also appear in this joyful stage show – don’t miss it this Christmastime at Disneyland Paris!
9. A Merry Stitch-mas!
Your favourite Disney Characters, including mischievous alien Stitch, rush to make sure the Park is ready for Christmas in this magical stage show on the Royal Castle stage in the Disneyland Park. Stitch takes centre stage as Micky, Minnie, Donald and a whole load of other famous faces get you in the Christmas mood.
10. Disneyland Paris New Year’s Eve Celebrations
We know it’s after Christmas, but this still counts as the festive period to us! Stick around to ring in the new year in true Disney style on the 31st December as the Park is lit up with dazzling festive lights and delights. This event is separately ticketed, so you will need to buy a specific New Year's Eve ticket.
