This tour offers a unique opportunity to explore the top of a glacier. Mýrdalsjökull, Iceland's fourth largest glacier, covers the Katla volcano. To reach the glacier's base, we will take you up the mountain in a specialized glacier truck. Upon arrival, we'll switch to snowmobiles for an exhilarating ride across the ice cap, taking in the stunning glacier landscapes and views over South Iceland.
All necessary equipment is provided, and our expert guides will teach you how to handle the snowmobile, ensuring you have a fun and safe adventure. The tour's duration is perfect for first-time riders.

Terms and conditions for Snowmobile Tour on Mýrdalsjökull Glacier
- Please note: The meeting point for this tour is at the Mýrdalsjökull Base Camp (Road 222)
- You will receive a voucher for this experience. Please read it thoroughly.
- You will be required to present a printed copy of your voucher at the time of tour departure.
- All drivers must be 17 years of age or older and have a full, valid driver's license. A learner's permit, tractor, or motorcycle license is not sufficient according to Icelandic law.
- Single riders and groups with odd numbers are required to book a single-ride snowmobile.
- During the Summer months, the tour can take longer in duration due to a higher snow line on the glacier.
- Due to sudden and unexpected weather changes the snowmobile ride might be cancelled after tour´s departure from Reykjavík.
- CANCELLATION POLICY: Free cancellations for bookings cancelled with the operator up to 72 hours before your chosen activity date. No refunds are given for cancellations made within 72 hours.
