Spain is a country which is rich in culture, history, and natural beauty, offering a diverse range of holiday destinations. Whether you’re looking for sun-soaked beaches, buzzing cities or cosy villages, Spain has it all. This guide will outline our favourite areas of Spain and the must-see attractions in each destination. 

 

1. Barcelona 

Barcelona is a vibrant capital of Catalonia where modernity meets tradition. This Spanish city is overflowing with art, history and mesmerising architecture. Barcelona is home to the famous landmark La Sagrada Familia, Antoni Gaudi’s masterpiece, and the Picasso Museum, which both stand as a testament to this. 

The city is located in the Mediterranean and so during the summer months, there is guaranteed beautiful weather with sunshine gleaming down 24/7, heating up the streets to an average of 28°C. You also can’t forget the incredible beaches which line the coast. Barcelona has the perfect balance between beach and city break! Here are some of our top attractions in Barcelona:

 

2. Salou

Salou is just an hour and a half away from Barcelona so you can choose to do a day trip to Salou. Incredible amusement parks can be found here, including PortAventura Theme Park, Ferrari Land and PortAventura Caribe Aquatic Water Park.

PortAventura Theme Park offers you the chance to travel around the world to 6 uniquely themed areas, each bursting with an abundance of exciting shows, thrilling rides, shops and exotic restaurants. Here are some of the top attractions:

  • Shambhala

Ferrari Land is perfect for any Tifosi (fans of the Formula 1 team Ferrari) who are ready to hop into the driver's seat and launch away in a Formula 1 car. Even if you aren’t a fan of F1, you can still have an incredible day out at this theme park, with an array of incredible attractions to try out:

  • Red Force
  • Bounce-Back Tower
  •  F1 simulator

PortAventura Caribe Aquatic Park is a Caribbean themed water park, offering a variety of fun and relaxing attractions. Lay back in a rubber ring and let the lazy river carry you away or try out these adrenaline pumping slides:

  • Rapid Race

 

3. Tenerife 

Tenerife is a small Spanish island situated in the Atlantic coast, opposite the northwestern coast of Africa. This tiny island welcomes millions of tourists each year and has gained a reputation for being a “hikers paradise”. Most people visit due to Tenerife’s selection of resorts, lively nightlife and spectacular beaches. However, the island has so much more to offer!

5. Seville

Seville is a province in southern Spain, boasting beautiful scenery and even more beautiful weather! As you stroll through the streets of Seville, marvel at the grand buildings, or relax in the shade of the plaza for a while. Here are some of the top things to explore whilst visiting:
