Our guide to Reykjavik Walking Tour
This tour explores Reykjavik’s quaint old city centre with a local guide!
Starting at the beautiful Hallgrímskirkja Church located at the top of the downtown hill, you'll stroll through the quaint streets of the Þingholt neighbourhood towards the City Pond. You'll have time to feed the ducks, geese and swans found on the northern end of the pond.
Continuing across the pond and into the City Hall where you can view the super-sized topographical map of Iceland. Your guide will explain about Iceland's fascinating geology and volcanic history.
You'll then head to the heart of the city, taking in the beautiful architecture and the site of the first Viking homesteads, before visiting the busy Old Harbour.
Strolling along the north shore from the harbour, you'll finally visit the impressive Harpa Concert Hall.
This tour is a great way to see the beautiful city whilst learning about its history and culture with an informative guide!

- The tour is available all year round (depending on weather and conditions)
- This is a walking tour (approx. 3-5km) and as such, younger children may find this too long. Please make arrangements (stroller etc) or be prepared to carry them part of the way.
- Dress for the elements. In Iceland, it is always best to dress in warm, waterproof clothes as the weather can change suddenly. Good walking shoes are highly recommended.
- You will be required to present a printed copy of your voucher at the time of tour departure.
