Initially housed in the “Palau Aguilar,” the museum has expanded over time and now occupies five stunning palaces dating back to the 13th and 14th centuries. Inside, you’ll trace Picasso’s artistic evolution, from his early years to his later works, including his time in Barcelona from 1895 to 1904. Fun fact: the Picasso Museum was the first and only museum established during Picasso’s lifetime. With over 3,500 pieces, it offers the world’s most comprehensive collection of his early works.
Guided insights will illuminate the five major periods of Picasso’s career: Blue, Pink, Cubist, Neoclassical, and Surrealist.

- Rucksacks are not allowed in the museum. If you do have one you will need to leave it at the box office to access the museum. It will be your responsibility to retrieve it afterwards.
