Discovery Cove's new Grand Reef
Discovery Cove multi-level Grand Reef attraction is the first major expansion project since the park opened and covers 2.5 acres of white sand beaches, underwater grottos, and the kind of lush, tropical ambiance that makes Discovery Cove a luxurious retreat.
Snorkel amid the reef’s 125 species of fish, check out the shark lagoon from a suspended rope bridge, or lounge in a hammock under swaying palm trees on the reef’s central island.
The Grand Reef's SeaVenture
In keeping with the trend toward exclusive ‘extras’, the Sea Venture tour takes guests for an underwater walk through the Grand Reef. The hour long adventure includes a guide and the use of a dive helmet (no dive certification necessary) and offers up-close viewing of the reef’s inhabitants. The tour accommodates up to six guests at a time.
Behind the Scenes
Whether you meet a beluga whale, stroke a penguin or come face to face with a large set of preditorial teeth, the behind-the-scenes tours provide some fascinating insights into the great conservation work that SeaWorld does worldwide. Behind the scenes tours vary from their gentle Behind The Scenes Tour ($30 adults, $20 ages 5-9) to the incredible Sharks Deep Dive ($150, ages 10 and up) and even a full-day Marine Mammal Keeper Experience ($399 ages 13 and up).
