The holiday season at Universal Studios Hollywood kicks off just after Thanksgiving, on November 25, running until January 1st. Get into the spirit as the Park is adorned with holiday decorations, holiday-themed food, characters, entertainment, and plenty of photo opportunities too.
The Wizarding World of Harry Potter
Sitting down to watch your favourite Harry Potter film is a Christmas tradition for many families, but why not take that one step further by becoming part of the festive magic at The Wizarding World of Harry Potter in Universal Studios Hollywood?
Hogwarts Castle lights up with a dazzling display of lights and music, transforming it into a holiday spectacle for The Magic of Christmas at Hogwarts Castle. The Hogwarts Frog Choir will delight you with a capella holiday songs, accompanied by the smooth bass rumbles of their giant throaty frogs, while Hogsmeade is transformed into a beautiful winter wonderland, complete with festive decor, lights, garlands and wreaths. Of course, loads of seasonal food will be available at the Three Broomsticks too, including a Holiday Dinner and hot Butterbeer.
And so you can remember your trip for years to come, the shops throughout Hogsmeade will be stocked with all kinds of holiday merchandise, including personalised Christmas ornaments - the perfect way to commemorate your visit.
Grinchmas
Everyone’s favourite grumpy yet loveable character, the Grinch is returning to Universal Studios Hollywood with Grinchmas. In the evening, stop by Universal Plaza to see the 65-foot topsy-turvy tree adorned with hundreds of ornaments and lights and listen to the Grinch himself tell his festive story, with some help from the Whos of Whoville.
During the day, guests can meet the Grinch and his dog Max for a photo opportunity, hear stories told by Cindy-Lou Who, send a holiday message from the Whoville post office and enjoy some delicious holiday treats!
CityWalk Holidays
Be treated to entertainment, movies and more when the holidays return to Universal CityWalk. Brighten up your visit with the iconic 40-foot tall Christmas tree, which includes choreographed, pulsing LEDs that dance along with the music and lights at the 5 Towers Stage, before Christmas shopping along the CityWalk shops, finding the perfect gifts and stocking fillers too.
Once you’re done taking in all the festive spirit, continue the celebrations with a seasonal treat at Voodoo Doughnut, or sit down for a unique meal at one CityWalk’s many restaurants, like Jimmy Buffet’s Margaritaville, VIVO Italian Kitchen or Antojitos Cocina Mexicana.
