5 Thrilling Water Slides You Have to Try at Universal’s Volcano Bay
Prepare to take the plunge!
There are so many amazing attractions to try at Universal’s Volcano Bay. So, if you’re all about the thrills, make sure you add these exciting water slides to the top of your list…

Volcano Bay is Universal’s newest park and it’s unlike anything you’ve seen before. Not a theme park, not a water park, but a water theme park, Volcano Bay combines the thrill of theme park rides with exhilarating water slides to bring you a totally unique experience. Planning a visit but not sure where to start? We’ve put together a list of of the slides we love and think you will too...

1. Ko’okiri Body Plunge

Universal's Volcano Bay

If you fancy yourself as a bit of a thrill seeker, put this attraction at the top of your list. Ko’okiri Body Plunge is all about the centuries-old tradition of honouring the fiery volcano god- Vol. If you’re feeling brave enough, take your place inside the clear tube. When you least expect it, the floor will disappear and you’ll plummet 125-feet at a 70-degree angle!

2. Krakatau Aqua Coaster

Universal's Volcano Bay

The Krakatau Aqua Coaster is one of the park’s most popular attractions. Be warned though, Volcano Bay describe it as “a drencher”! When you enter the park, you can’t fail to notice the 200-foot-tall Krakatau Volcano towering above you. This incredible water slide actually takes you inside the volcano on an action-packed adventure.

Families and groups can enjoy the fun together in specially designed 4-person canoes that take you deep into the volcano. You can expect plenty of twists and turns along the way and a dramatic plunge through a shimmering waterfall!

3. Puihi of the Maku Puihi Round Raft Ride

Universal's Volcano Bay

This multi-person raft ride is another great choice for families, that’s guaranteed to get your heart racing as you spin out of control. You’ll start by entering a lava tube path, before racing through a dark, winding cavern. Experience the thrill of zero-gravity as you shoot out into a huge funnel, before finally splashing your way to safety.

4. Taniwha Tubes

Universal's Volcano Bay

The Waturi are the people that call Volcano Bay home. They are also responsible for building the impressive Taniwha Tubes. Made up of four twisting water slides, the attraction was inspired by the snakelike trunks and roots of the abnormally tall Puka trees. Riders can brave all four slides, and we’d definitely recommend it if you’re looking for maximum thrills! Look out for hidden tiki statues along the way that are ready to spray blasts of water at unsuspecting riders.

5. Kala and Tai Nui Serpentine Body Slides

Universal's Volcano Bay

This is another one for the thrill seekers out there. If you’re up for a challenge, compete against one of your friends in this high-speed water slide. Get ready to take a “leap of faith” from the top of the volcano, as two trap doors simultaneously plunge two guests down clear, intertwining tubes. You’ll end with a big splash into the glistening turquoise waters below.

Honorary mention:

Universal's Volcano Bay water park

We know that the Kopiko Wai Winding River doesn’t really count as a water slide, but we love it anyway! After experiencing the thrills of the park’s top slides, the Kopiko Wai Winding River is the perfect place to unwind. Grab yourself a rubber ring, sit back, relax and enjoy the journey. Admire the beauty of Volcano Bay as you glide along the river and look up at the glittering stars as you float through Stargazer’s Cavern.
