1. The rooms all have a subtle Bambi theme
What better Disney Character to have in the decor of Disney Sequoia Lodge but the king of the forest himself? All of the rooms are accented with Bambi-themed art, being joined by Thumper and Flower in the crests lining the top of the walls. There is also Bambi-themed merchandise available in the hotel gift shop, and you might get a beautiful Bambi key card (that will also be your park tickets) that you can take home as a keepsake.
2. This is one of the few places you could meet Max Goof
If you’re a big fan of A Goofy Movie, then this exclusive Character meet will have you booking a stay at Disney Sequoia Lodge in no time! Keep a look out in the lobby as Max Goof will often be meeting guests dressed in his winter coat and hat; this is one of the only times you can meet this Character at Disneyland Paris outside of special events, and is the only place you can meet him in this outfit.
These Character meets are subject to availability. There are no set meet and greet times but the concierge will be able to give you an idea of when they will be happening. It’s not just Max who meets here, but the Characters tend to rotate so you’re likely to see him at least once if you’re staying for a few days.
3. There are two all-you-can-eat buffets
Want the convenience of being able to dine at your hotel? Disney Sequoia Lodge is the place for you. In keeping with the hunters lodge theming of the hotel, Beaver Creek Tavern and Hunters Grill serve up delicious roast meats, seasonal vegetables and fresh salads, potatoes, and plenty of dessert options too. And don’t worry if you’re vegetarian as there’s choice for you too.
There’s also the Redwood Bar and Lounge that serves bar snacks, sandwiches, and desserts until 11pm, alongside signature cocktails, wine, beer, and hot drinks.
4. This is the perfect hotel to stay at during the winter months
Disney Sequoia Lodge is a great hotel choice all year round, but it’s especially perfect if you’re planning your trip to Disneyland Paris in the autumn or winter. The hotel has a really cosy feel and being just a 15-minute walk from the Disney Parks, it’s easy to pop back to your room if you need to warm up. On particularly cold days you can head to the Redwood Bar and Lounge to have a drink next to a roaring log-burning fire!
5. The showers have been retrofitted to help reduce water consumption
All the showers at Disney Sequoia Lodge are fitted with special Hydrao shower heads that use coloured lights to help encourage guests to reduce their water consumption. Disneyland Paris was also the first Theme Park in Europe to have its own wastewater treatment plant, where up to 3,500 m3 of water is collected each day. It’s then treated and purified before being used to clean the roads and irrigate flowerbeds!
