Discover Hidden Ice Caves and Glaciers.
On this Ice Cave and Glacier Walk combo tour, you'll explore naturally formed ice caves before embarking on a glacier walk, equipped with crampons, around the glacier tongue.
Our guide to Skaftafell Ice Cave Tour & Glacier Hike
The ice caves are only accessible in winter when the meltwater under the glacier freezes, creating stunning ice tunnels. Your experienced guide will explain their formation and lead you through the caves, allowing plenty of time for photography in these breathtaking surroundings. After exploring the caves, you'll ascend to the glacier's surface. There, your guide will lead you through the ever-changing glacial landscape, highlighting deep crevasses and unique ice features while explaining glacier behaviour and its impact on nature.
