Led by a professional Conservation Guide, explore the breathtaking Dubai Desert Conservation Reserve on a captivating nature safari. Learn about the fascinating flora, fauna and the ingenious ways Bedouins thrived in the desert. SOUP:
- Shorbat Adas Soup - Lentil soup is a regional favourite, especially during the winter months.
STARTERS:
- Kibbeh - A traditional Middle Eastern dish that features a unique combination of finely ground lamb and beef, with pine nuts and aromatic spices.
- Sambousek - Discovered during the Crusades, this is a delightful Middle Eastern pastry known for its crispy exterior, encasing a mozzarella and halloumi filling.
- Baba Ganoush - A timeless dish made from roasted eggplant, renowned for its rich and smoky flavours.
- Hummus - A creamy and flavourful dip made from pureed chickpeas, combined with tahini.
- Rocca Salad - A traditional spring salad from the oasis of the U.A.E, featuring Jarjeer, oven-baked beetroot and other fresh additions to any palette.
- Fattoush Salad - Fattoush from the Levant combines fresh vegetables and a zesty, herb-infused dressing, becoming a regional favourite.
MAIN COURSES
- Traditional Lamb Ouzi - A dish that symbolises hospitality in the region. The Arabic spiced Lamb is simmered for six hours in an underground pit to ensure tenderness, falling off the bone and is served with two different rice options.
- Ouzi Rice with Spices Vegetables - This local dish features tender Ouzi lamb served with flavourful, aromatic vegetables and fragrant rice.
- Plain White Rice - For those who prefer the simple things in life.
- Harees - A slow-cooked dish made from simple yet wholesome ingredients. It features tender pieces of chicken, combined with whole wheat grains.
- Camel Meat - This traditional dish is for all occasions with spices and mixed vegetables.
- Charcoal Grilled Chicken - Tender & mildly seasoned boneless meat straight from the grill.
- Vegetable Tagine - Succulent, slowly simmered vegetable stew with a Mediterranean touch.
- Grilled Vegetable Kebab - A harmonious blend of natural sweetness and savoury goodness. Served with grilled corn.
DESSERT
- Luqaimat - Originating from the Arabic word meaning “a small bite that can be eaten in a single mouthful”, these small delectable Arabic-style doughnuts are served drizzled with date syrup.
- Assorted Fresh Fruit - Mixed seasonal fresh fruit platters
BEVERAGES
- Arabic coffee, mineral water, a selection of two fresh juices, vimto, camel milk, karak chai and a selection of tea and coffee

Pick-up from Dubai hotels between 2:30 pm and 4:30 pm, depending on the season. Your exact pick-up time will be confirmed locally.

Terms and conditions for Dubai Heritage Desert Safari
- The itinerary is subject to change without notice.
- As the desert can get quite warm during the day all year round, we suggest bringing a hat, sunglasses, sunscreen and cool, comfortable clothes. For desert safaris in the winter (November to March), we recommend bringing something warm to wear for the evening.
- This safari includes a traditional dinner; however, please inform us of any dietary requirements or allergies when booking. We can accommodate vegetarian, vegan, kosher-style and gluten-free.
- Bathroom facilities are available at the camp.
- A private car booking is required if travelling with children under 5 years old. The Camel Safari is not suitable for children under 5 years old.
- Infants below 12 months are not permitted on our nature drive, however we can arrange an alternative on request.
- Children between the age of 5-11 years will be charged at a child’s rate.
- Pick up from Dubai Hotels between 2:30pm and 4:30pm (depending on the sunset)
- Pick-up from Dubai hotels is included and will be in a shared, air-conditioned vehicle (unless booked otherwise). We can pick you up from the nearest hotel if you live in a private residence unless a private car is booked.
- Certain vintage Land Rovers can accommodate up to 10 Guests
- The nature drive is not recommended for guests more than six months pregnant.
- Return to the Hotel between 9:30pm and 11:30pm
- We restrict numbers to 75-100 guests in our very spacious camps for our guests' comfort.
- CANCELLATION POLICY: Free cancellations for bookings cancelled with the operator up to 72 hours before your chosen activity date. No refunds are given for cancellations made within 72 hours.
