1. Butterbeer
A visit to the Wizarding World of Harry Potter isn’t complete until you’ve tried the Butterbeer. Harry Potter fans will know that this drink is a popular choice with wizards (especially Harry, Ron and Hermione). Wondering what it tastes like? Butterbeer is a deliciously sweet drink that tastes like a mixture of caramel, butterscotch and cream soda. You can also get frozen Butterbeer, which is perfect for cooling down from the Floridian sunshine.
2. Fishy Green Ale
We know the name might not sound too appealing, and come to think of it the colour too, but don’t let that put you off! If you fancy being a bit adventurous (and want to get some good Instagram snaps while you’re at it), then this is the one for you. Fishy Green Ale is a refreshing drink with a creamy consistency and hints of mint and cinnamon. A bed of “fish eggs” lies at the bottom, but don’t worry the only surprise will be bursts of tangy blueberry flavour!
3. Otter’s Fizzy Orange Juice
For those of you who don’t fancy branching out to the Fishy Green Ale, this is a safe (but delicious!) option. This fizzy orange drink has a hint of vanilla, and is the perfect refreshing drink for when you need a break from all that theme park fun. The sugar and cinnamon coated rim totally transforms the flavour and compliments the fresh orange juice. We’re sure you’ll love it as much as we do!
4. Gillywater
Gillywater on its own is bottled water, but if you head to the Eternelle's Elixir of Refreshment stand, a bit of wizarding magic will transform it into something completely different! Choose a mysterious tonic such as Babbling Beverage, Draught of Peace, Fire Protection Potion or Elixir to Induce Euphoria, and watch in awe as your drink magically changes colour. Take a sip and you’ll notice the flavour has changed too! You can choose from tropical fruit punch, watermelon, peach and strawberry flavours to name a few.
Top tip- if you’re visiting with little ones, this is a fun way to encourage them to drink more water.
5. Wizard’s Brew
For something a bit stronger, we’d recommend trying the Wizard’s Brew. This beer has been made exclusively for the Wizarding World of Harry Potter, so you won’t be able to try it anywhere else. The dark brew is a sweet stout, with notes of chocolate and coffee. The Dragon Scale lager is another specialty drink. This amber lager is a bit lighter than the Wizard’s brew and is sure to be a hit for those looking for an ice-cold beer. If you’re not sure, you could always try them both!
