How do Dining Plans work?
A dining plan is the best way to experience all the incredible food Walt Disney World Resort has to offer without worrying about breaking the bank. With your meals, drinks and snacks (where applicable) included you won't have to worry about budgets while you're on your holiday and can simply enjoy those delicious dishes and tasty treats!
When you check in to your Disney Resort hotel, all your dining plan entitlements will be loaded onto your Disney band or card. You'll have access to all of your meals and snacks from the beginning of your holiday, so you can splurge on some days and eat light on others depending on your plans. To use your entitlements, just touch your Disney band or card to the magic point when purchasing your meals and snacks. Your receipt will then detail how many entitlements were used in that transaction, and how many you have left. You can also check your meal and snack balance on the My Disney Experience app.
You'll also get a resort-refillable drink mug included with your dining plan if you're staying at a Moderate or Deluxe Resort hotel or villa. These can be picked up from the quick-service dining location at your Disney Resort hotel, where you can refill it as many times as you like throughout your holiday with selected soft drinks and hot beverages including coffee, tea, and hot chocolate.

What counts as a snack?
On both the Disney Quick-Service Dining Plan and the Disney Dining Plan, guests can have one snack per day in addition to their meals. You can tell if something can be purchased using a snack entitlement as it will have a purple DDP logo next to it on the menu.
Snacks include:
- Individual items such as fresh fruit, ice cream bars, Mickey-shaped pretzels, popcorn, and cookies
- Breakfast items such as a Mickey waffle topped with fruit or a yoghurt pot
- Soft drinks including fountain drinks, iced coffee, bottled water, slushes, and milkshakes

What counts as a quick-service meal?
A quick-service meal is from one of the fast-casual, counter-service restaurants. These restaurants don’t require any reservations so you’ll have the flexibility to eat whenever you feel like it in between attractions and entertainment.
A quick-service meal entitlement includes:
- 1 entrée - such as a salad, burger and fries, a flatbread, or a breakfast sandwich
- 1 drink - such as a fountain beverage, coffee, or even an alcoholic drink for guests aged 21+ (with valid ID)

What counts as a table-service meal?
A table-service meal is from either a waiter-service restaurant or a buffet restaurant. These can be booked in advance and can be extremely popular.
A table-service meal entitlement includes (per person):
- 1 entrée - such as steak and fries, a pizza, a stir-fry, or French toast
- 1 dessert (excluding breakfast) - such as an ice cream sundae, chocolate brownie, or fruit salad
- 1 drink - such as a fountain beverage, coffee, or even an alcoholic drink for guests aged 21+ (with valid ID)
OR
- 1 all-you-can-eat buffet
- 1 drink - such as a fountain beverage, coffee, or even an alcoholic drink for guests aged 21+ (with valid ID)
Top Tip! Guests with a valid Disney Resort hotel booking can make dining reservations for table-service and buffet locations for the entire length of their stay starting 60 days in advance of their arrival (for up to a 10-night stay). Make sure you know where you can use your 2026 dining plan and plan your meals in advance to make the most of your entitlements!
