The My Disney Experience website and app can really help you to make the most of your magical trip to Walt Disney World Resort in Florida, in the USA.
Read on for our step-by-step guide to creating your My Disney Experience account, and linking your Disney Magic Tickets.
What is My Disney Experience?
My Disney Experience is the official Walt Disney World Resort platform where you can find all the details of your trip. There’s a website as well as a mobile app for iOS and Android smartphones and tablets which you can use throughout your holiday.
The My Disney Experience website is where you can keep your park tickets and Disney Resort hotel reservation as well as make Disney Park Pass reservations if needed (these aren’t required if you have a Disney Magic Ticket).
The My Disney Experience app will provide you with all of the information you’ll need during your Disney holiday, including ride wait times, dining options, park maps, general news from around the resort, and more. You’ll need an account to access virtual queues, Lightning Lanes, and any photos taken by Disney PhotoPass photographers or on attractions. .
It’s a great way to keep everything in one place – park tickets, hotel reservations, and dining reservations. Better still, you won’t need to print anything out or keep reams of paper in a folder when you travel!
Freya has visited Walt Disney World Resort 5 times and always uses My Disney Experience to help with their planning: “The app is fantastic – you can do so much on it, and it’s so much easier to have everything in one place, right at your fingertips!”

1. How do I access My Disney Experience?
The first thing you’ll need to do to access My Disney Experience is to set up an account. This is done via the website rather than the app. Creating a My Disney Experience account means you’ll be able to link your tickets pre-travel. If you have a ticket and hotel package, you can set up your account and link your tickets at any stage before your holiday. If you have a ticket-only booking, you will need to have paid in full to link them to your My Disney Experience account.
As well as entering all your details to create your account, you’ll be able to do some cool stuff too, like choosing the Disney Character profile picture. Be a Disney Princess for the holiday, or select a classic character like Mickey or Minnie.
- Search for My Disney Experience or go to mydisneyexperience.co.uk.
- Select the option “Create Account.”
- Fill in your personal information, including your name and address. You’ll also have to choose a password. Top tip: Choose something secure but memorable!
- Click “Create Account.”
- Once you arrive in Orlando, search for the My Disney Experience app on the App Store or Google Play Store. The app should be the top result (aside from any adverts), and the app logo is the iconic Cinderella Castle.
- Download the app to your phone or tablet.
- Log in to the app using the details you entered online. You will just need one account for the website and app. Once you have the app, you can do the following steps on either the app or the website, depending on your preference. We find that the website is easier to use if you’re at home, whereas the app is great if you’re on the go.

- Under the My Disney Experience tab on the right-hand side of the menu, select “My Plans.”
- Here, you can link your account to the other members of the group that you’re travelling with. They will each need their own account. You can also link your Disney Resort hotel reservation and tickets.

4. How to make Disney Park Pass reservations
You do not need to make a Disney Park Pass reservation if you have a dated ticket like the Disney Magic Ticket. However, if you have undated ticket, you may need a theme park reservation to visit each park. You’ll need to book them for each day you plan to visit the parks, as you must have a reservation for your undated ticket to work.
Check park availability for the dates of your holiday before you make your reservations. We recommend making your Disney Park Pass reservations as soon as possible to avoid changes in availability. You can do this on the My Disney Experience website.
You can make one park reservation per guest for every day of your holiday, and you can also park hop. Once you’ve been to your reserved park, guests with Park Hopper access can also visit another park, as long as it still has availability.
- Go to mydisneyexperience.co.uk and log in using your My Disney Experience login details.
- Once you’re logged in, go to “My Plans.”
- Click “Make a Park Reservation.”
- View current availability for theme park reservations.
- Create your party from your family and friends list.
- Choose the date you wish to book your Disney Park Pass for using the calendar and select your chosen park.
- Confirm your selection.
- Repeat this process for each day of your holiday.
