Our guide to Glacier Panorama Trail
During the hike, immerse yourself in panoramic views of glaciers, black beaches, and the stunning south shore alongside the Atlantic Ocean. Delve into Iceland's geological wonders, witnessing how glaciers have sculpted the landscape for millennia. Our glacier truck conveniently transports you approximately 750 meters to the hike's starting point.
In the morning, rendezvous with your guide at the Sólheimajökull parking lot. From there, ascend to the Mýrdalsjökull glacier. On clear days, marvel at the renowned Eyjafjallajökull volcano. The trail winds above and alongside the Sólheimajökull outlet glacier, culminating at its terminus. Explore this seldom-visited area, where occasional sightings of sheep add to the serene ambience.
